Having previously planned for a career in electrical engineering, Mike felt God’s leading into Christian ministry during his senior year in high school. At the age of 19, while a student in college, Mike began 46 years of pastoral ministry which included five churches-three rural, one small town, and one urban. He is a graduate of Union University, Jackson, TN, Southwestern Seminary, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Mid-America Seminary, Memphis, Tennessee.
Mike and his wife Brenda, joined the family of HPC in 2023. They were parents of three sons—the oldest of which died in 2022. It was the birth of their granddaughter to their middle son Brad and his wife Samantha which led to their move from West Tennessee to the Huntersville area in 2022. Mike and Brenda consider it a great blessing to be a part of the HPC family.
