At Huntersville Presbyterian Church Preschool we seek to provide a loving and Christian environment that will enable children to reach their full potential spiritually, intellectually, developmentally, physically, socially and emotionally.
It is our goal to facilitate a positive experience that has a lasting impact on the development of your child, while establishing a relationship with you - the parents and family.
Our program is open to all children, regardless of race, nationality or creed.
Program Objectives
Huntersville Presbyterian Church Preschool believes that most of the things that we need to know, especially learning "how to learn", begins during the first five years of life. HPC Preschool provides a warm, nurturing environment that encourages:

Each child to develop a basic Christian approach to living through example...each child is a unique gift from God.

Motor Development, Language and Listening Skills, Creative Art, Music, Dramatic Play, Social/Emotional Skills, Math Skills, Science and the Natural World, Religious Concepts and Community Outreach.
Registration
Registration for currently enrolled children/siblings, siblings of former students and church members begins in January. On the first week of February, all available spaces will be open for enrollment to the community. Tours are available upon request and appointment with the director. Parents must fill out the online registration and pay the $75 registration fee if a space is available. Each child pays a registration fee to hold a space, cover insurance and supplies. Our PayPal account is on the Preschool Payment link. If a child is placed on the waiting list, the registration fee will be refunded. Once enrollment is accepted, the registration fee is non-refundable. A waiting list will be maintained throughout the year, but is not ongoing from year to year. A parent orientation will be held prior to the new school year.

The first tuition payment is due on July 1. $40 enrichment fee will be due with your first tuition payment.
2-Year Old Classes
An introduction to group socialization.
Child must be 2 on or before August 31st of current year. This class serves as an introduction to group socialization. One class meets on Tuesday and Thursday and the other meets on Monday and Wednesday.

3-Year Old Classes
Interactive play to improve listening and language skills while developing knowledge of colors, shapes, alphabet, seasons, days of the week.
Child must be 3 on or before August 31st of current year. Students will take part in interactive play, develop language skills and knowledge of colors, shapes, seasons, days of the week.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: $250 / mo
Tuesday & Thursday: $210 / mo
4-Year Old Classes
Learning skills to enhance the kindergarten experience.
Child must be 4 on or before August 31st of current year. Learning skills to enhance the kindergarten experience.
Monday - Thursday: $300 / mo
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: $250 / mo
Transitional Kindergarten Class
Enrich learning skills for the older 4-year old and 5-year old to enhance the kindergarten experience.
Child must be 5 on or before January 31st of following year. Enriched learning for older 4 and 5-year old students. Classes meet Monday through Friday.

We do accept tuition payments via PayPal, cash or check, however there is a small processing fee that will be added to your payment if paying with PayPal.
Up to $100 - $3.00 charge
$101 - $200 - $6.00 charge

A $75 non-refundable deposit per camp must accompany the registration form. This deposit will apply to the camp weekly fee and is non-refundable. The remaining camp tuition balance is due on the FIRST day of camp.

Unicorns, Dragons and Magical Adventures
Bring your imagination to the magical lands of Unicorns, Fire-Breathing Dragons, Knights, Princesses and more! We will visit an enchanted kingdom and enjoy the magical world of knights, royalty, and dragons. We will construct castles, learn royal customs, and enjoy jousting tournaments. Campers will also have fun in the mystical world of unicorns and rainbows! So, polish your unicorn horn and get your dragon-fire ready for this fun and magical camp.

Calling All Junior
Mad Scientists
Our young scientists will be introduced to the awesome world of science in a fun and exciting way! Each day has its own theme, and we’ll learn about different scientists. We will become
“Goo-ologists” and make slime, bubbles, volcanoes, and other fun concoctions; become “Zoologists” and investigate animal life and habitats; become Rocket Scientists and explore space; and become Paleontologists to learn about dinosaurs & dig for fossils. There will be lots of demonstrations, experiments, outdoor activities/games, and hands-on explorations!

Down by the Seashore Splishing and a Splashing
Come join us for a “wave of fun” on our beach adventure this week! We will learn about seashore and ocean animals, make sand creations, enjoy beach and water games, discover seashells and other hidden treasures by the seashore. We may even spot some pirates and mermaids.

Our Director - Melody Bryant
Melody Bryant joined Huntersville Presbyterian Church as the Director of the Preschool Ministry in the Fall of 2006. Melody is passionate about children’s ministry and has served since 1994. She brings leadership and teaching experience from her home church, Ramah Presbyterian, where she served on the board to start their preschool, worked as the Assistant Preschool Director and developed several other children’s church ministries. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor’s in business management/human resources and a minor in Education. Melody has also acquired various certifications and college level training in Early Childhood Education and Leadership.
Originally from Pilot Mountain, NC, Melody now calls Huntersville her home after marrying her husband, David in 1987. They have raised 3 wonderful sons, Kyle, Samuel and Joseph. Melody enjoys spending time with her family, reading and being outside gardening, hiking, kayaking or walking her dogs and grand dogs.
Melody feels that the Preschool Ministry and working with children has been one of the greatest blessings in her life. Children’s ministry provides her with a wonderful outlet to love, teach and grow with God’s children and their families.
