About the event
In the Presbyterian Church, we recognize two sacraments—baptism and communion—as outward signs of God’s grace and our connection to Christ. This class is designed to help children understand the significance of these sacred practices in a way that is engaging, meaningful, and age-appropriate.
Baptism is the sacrament of welcome into God’s family. It symbolizes cleansing, renewal, and belonging in the body of Christ. If your child has not been baptized, this class will help them learn what baptism means and what it means to be part of a faith community.
Communion (The Lord’s Supper) is the meal that reminds us of Jesus’ sacrifice and God’s unending love. It is a sacred time of remembrance, unity, and renewal in which we experience Christ’s presence together.
This class will help children:
- Learn the meaning and significance of baptism and communion
- Explore what it means to be part of the church family
